Get Daily Quote is operated by Qwikymart LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.
The short version: we collect your phone number so we can text you a quote. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing. You can leave at any time by replying STOP.
Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function:
- Your mobile phone number, which you provide at signup and confirm with a verification code.
- Your delivery preferences, meaning the quote style you chose and the time and time zone you want your message.
- Your subscription status, including whether you are in a trial, active, or cancelled.
- Message delivery records, meaning which quote was sent to you and whether it was delivered, so we do not repeat quotes and can troubleshoot failures.
- Basic technical data when you visit the website, such as IP address and browser type, used to prevent abuse of our signup form.
We do not collect your name, your email address, your location beyond the time zone you select, or your contacts.
How we use your information
- To send you the daily message you signed up for.
- To verify that the phone number entered belongs to the person entering it.
- To apply your style and delivery time preferences.
- To process your subscription payment.
- To enforce our limit of one free trial per phone number.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of our signup and verification system.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not run advertising on this service.
SMS messaging terms
By providing your phone number and consenting at signup, you agree to receive recurring automated daily quote text messages from Get Daily Quote at that number.
- Message frequency is one message per day, plus occasional messages about your account, such as a trial ending.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell or share your phone number. Your mobile number and the consent you gave are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the service providers listed below, and only so that your messages can be delivered and your payment processed.
Third-party services
We use a small number of providers to operate the service. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- Twilio delivers text messages. It receives your phone number and the content of your message.
- Stripe processes payments. It receives your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
- Supabase hosts our database, which holds your number, preferences and subscription status.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides bot protection on the signup form.
These providers act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to the operation of the service. Payment card details never touch our systems; they go directly to Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we limit what we collect specifically so that there is little to lose.
Data retention
We keep your phone number and preferences for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel or reply STOP, we stop messaging you immediately.
We retain a record that your number previously used a free trial, and a record of your opt-out. We keep these two things indefinitely and deliberately: the first enforces our one-trial-per-number limit, and the second makes sure a number that opted out is never messaged again by mistake. Both records are minimal and are not used for any other purpose.
Your rights
- You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP.
- You can change your style, delivery time, or cancel your subscription from your preferences link.
- You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@getdailyquote.com.
If you ask us to delete your data, we will honor that, with the exception of the opt-out record described above, which exists to protect you from being messaged again.
Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the number.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your phone number, we will tell you by text before it takes effect.
